What is DPI?

DPI fullform is Dots per Inch.

DPI means how many dots the cursor covers by moving the mouse one inch.

But if we talk in simple language, DPI means the sensitivity of the mouse. The higher DPI of the mouse means the faster the mouse cursor will move.

High DPI vs Low DPI

Most gamers use low DPI to play the game because the movement and aim in low DPI are very accurate.

And in a shooting (aim) game, you should use only low dpi to do sniping.

High DPI is used in gaming only when you have to aim very close.

That is why most gamers use a mouse that has a button to change the DPI.

So what DPI should you use?

I can not tell you the number of any DPI, so you can use it because different people like to use a different type of DPI for other kinds of games.

But I can give one piece of advice for playing FPS games.

DPI should be less than 1600.
